Star-Spangled Salute at The Pavilion: July 3, 2018
The holiday festivities begin on July 3 with the Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The concert features a selection of patriotic favorites, American classics, sing-alongs and, of course, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” complete with cannons from atop the hill. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and admission is FREE. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
43rd Annual 4th of July Parade in The Woodlands: July 4, 2018
Get up early on July 4th, put on your red, white and blue to get a prime spot for the parade! The 43rd Annual 4th of July Parade in The Woodlands will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the singing of the National Anthem from the balcony in Market Street and Town Green Park. This year's theme is “United We Stand,” and more than 20,000 spectators are expected to line the streets in Town Center to watch over 150 entries, marching bands and federal, state and local dignitaries through the 1.3-mile parade route. The parade begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, and some roads in the area will be closed during the event. Street performers will entertain parade-goers, and three additional DJ/announcer booths are placed around the parade route. Up to 11 community parade entry judges rate the entries to culminate with 12 parade entry awards. The parade and surrounding activities will take place rain or shine.
Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza: July 4, 2018
Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment, children’s activities and family fun at multiple locations throughout The Woodlands from 6 to 10 p.m. This community-wide celebration offers fun for all ages.
The event culminates with the 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza over The Woodlands. The 21st Annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival will be larger than ever before, with multiple event and fireworks-launch locations throughout The Woodlands:
- Lake Woodlands (primary display)
- Town Green Park (secondary close-proximity display)
- Waterway Square District, near Timberloch Place/Waterway Avenue
- Village of Creekside Park, near Rob Fleming Park
Fourth of July Parade - Oak Ridge North: July 4, 2018
The Oak Ridge North Hometown Fourth of July Parade is always a fun-filled event for the whole family. Parade lineup will begin at 9 a.m., Parade start is 9:30 a.m., and park activities will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Float entries should contact Sarah McClure to reserve your spot in the line up.
