Shaping your new smile
Your initial consultation includes an examination and a painless, mess-free digital scan of your teeth that captures a precise and accurate 3D image. The software’s algorithm helps calculate just the right amount of force for every tooth movement, from your first aligner set to your dream smile. But you don’t have to wait to see the final results —your dentist will show you a step-by-step transformation of your smile on that first day so you know exactly what your smile will look like when your treatment’s over.
Your digital images are sent to an Invisalign lab, where your aligners are created using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology. They’re individually trimmed for a precise and comfortable fit. After your aligners pass a quality control check, they’re sent to your dentist.
Picking up your aligners
When you come in for your new aligners, your dentist will ensure that they fit your mouth well. It’s a great time to ask questions, such as:
- Can I still eat all my favorite foods? Yes! Just take out your aligners when you eat or drink, and brush your teeth before putting them back in.
- Should I brush and floss as normal? Yes!
